Diagnosis.
The wings are a slightly richer brown than in the other Bornean species, the
hindwings with similar fasciation. The forewings have the medial zone, apart
from the dark discal mark, distinctly paler than the rest of the wing, bounded
by an oblique antemedial and a strongly sinuous postmedial. There is also a
slightly paler bar running from the postdiscal bulge of the postmedial towards
the costa just short of the apex.
Geographical
range. Borneo, Philippines.
Habitat
preference. The holotype was taken in Sarawak by A.R. Wallace. A second
specimen has been recorded from the understorey of primary forest at 170m in the
vicinity of the Danum Valley Field Centre in Sabah.
