The
characteristics of this tribe are as for the type genus described below, none
indicating a close relationship to other tribes. Kitching & Rawlins (1998)
included the genus amongst those with a waxy bloom on the pupa, but the
description located for E. cyllaria Cramer (see below) only mentions a
granular surface.
Anophiodes
Hampson,
with a few species in the Philippines, Moluccas and New Guinea, probably also
belongs to this tribe.
