Diagnosis.
This is a species of similar size to obscura but with more irregular pattern. The most
immediately submarginal fascia is broken, a row of dashes rather than an entire
zigzag. The dentate mark dividing the forewing ocellus from distad is broader,
the division incomplete. The male genitalia are distinctive, with broad saccular
processes extending to the apex of the valve and showing bilateral asymmetry.
Geographical
range. Sumatra, Borneo, Peninsular Malaysia.
Habitat
preference. Six specimens have been recorded, all montane: from 1780m on G.
Mulu; two from 1930m on G. Kinabalu; three from 1645m on Bukit Retak.
