Miscellaneous Genera I
View Image Gallery of Miscellaneous Genera I.

This sequence contains species where the eighth abdominal segment in the male is virtually unmodified, with the apodemes on the tergite, if present, well separated. Seven of those up to Varicosia Hampson were listed (see p. 7) as Catocalinae by Fibiger (2003). A number more have the ostium associated with a modified seventh sternite: Ischyja Hübner, Sarobacala Gen. n., and to a reduced extent in Papuacola Hampson, Fodina Guenée, the Brontypena Holland group and Mesosciera Hampson.
