Diagnosis.
The ground colour is fawn with shades of grey. The forewing has a narrow, dark
brown medial band that has a biarcuate, whitish mark from the reniform at its
distal edge. The subapical brown patch on the costa is more strongly curved at
its margin basally, and is larger than in the next species, and broken by pale
marks associated with the submarginal.
Geographical
range. New Guinea,
Sulawesi, Sumatra (HS / ZSM), Borneo.
Habitat
preference. Only two specimens have been recorded, one from disturbed
lowland dipterocarp forest (30-60m) at Labi in Brunei and one from wet heath
forest at 150m on a river terrace west of the Melinau Gorge near G. Mulu.
