Diagnosis.
The wings are a medium to dark brown, the forewings olive-tinged, with a dark,
round reniform stigma and, fainter, a small orbicular stigma and three fine,
irregularly transverse fasciae. There is no black marginal area, but the
position of its inner border is marked by a narrow pale fascia, slightly concave
and edged darker distad.
Geographical
range. Java, Borneo.
Habitat
preference. This is a lowland forest species but has also been taken on the
coast (Seria) of Brunei. During the Mulu survey most specimens were taken at
250m in forest on the limestone G. Api, but a few were taken in alluvial forest
at 70m at Long Pala where the light trap was sited on a limestone outcrop.
