Diagnosis.
The forewing resembles that of xanthostola except it is more uniform and the marginal black zone
is broader with a more rounded and openly notched inner boundary. The hindwings
of the male are medium brown-grey, unmodified.
Taxonomic
note. Specimens with similar facies from Luzon in the Philippines
(slide 18675) have the structures of the male eighth segment shorter and the
valves are somewhat narrower but similar in ornamentation.
Geographical
range. Borneo, ?Philippines.
Habitat
preference. Bornean material is restricted to the holotype from G. Kinabalu.
It lacks altitude data.
