Taxonomic
note. From Sulawesi eastwards greener races occur with slightly
different male genitalia: the dorsal arm of the bifid process to the valve is
shorter, slightly more robust, and with a shallow central flexure only.
Geographical
range. Indian Subregion to Taiwan, New Guinea, the Carolines and
Australia.
Habitat
preference. The species is frequent in the lowlands, but extends more
infrequently up 1930m. It was recorded commonly and predominently in the
understorey of primary and logged lowland forest in the vicinity of the Danum
Valley Field Centre in Sabah (S.J. Willott, unpublished data; see also Ugia on p. 183).
