Miscellaneous Genera IV
View Image Gallery of Miscellaneous Genera IV

This sequence contains genera where the species have some external resemblance to those of the Scoliopterygini (p. 213) but lack the definitive features of that tribe. They show no clear interrelationships either. All have a framed corematous type of male eighth abdominal segment. Hyperlopha has similar facies but does not have this abdominal feature and is therefore treated within sequence II (p. 210).

In the first two genera (and
Hyperlopha) the hindwing facies is uniform, unlike that of the forewing, as in the Gonopterini, whereas in the rest, the forewing pattern is repeated on the hindwing as in most of the Episparis group of genera that follows. Many of that group have angled wing margins as in this miscellaneous sequence.
