Diagnosis.
There is some sexual dimorphism, with the male darker brown-grey
with a relatively narrower forewing than the female.
The postmedials are fine dark lines, and the medial zone has a slightly greenish
tinge. Within this zone on the forewing are two conspicuous white stigmata, the
orbicular double and the reniform an archipelago of four disparate spots
separated by narrow brown lines.
Geographical
range. S. Thailand, Singapore, Sumatra, Borneo.
Habitat
preference. Six specimens have been recorded in recent surveys, all from
lowland forest: at 150m near the Danum Valley Field Centre, Sabah; at 300m on G.
Santubong near Kuching; at 400m at Bedawan, 300m and 450m in the Ulu Temburong
in Brunei; from the Barito Ulu of Kalimantan Tengah.
