This
final, large sequence of genera should probably be reassessed in conjunction
with the current concepts of the Herminiinae and Hypeninae. Indeed, several of
the genera towards the end of the sequence have features that indicate they
maybe better placed in one or other of these groups, and the genus Chorsia
Walker
brings together taxa from several parts of the current noctuid classification,
including the trifine set of subfamilies. Several genera have reduced phragma
lobes associated with the second abdominal tergite, or lack them altogether. A
few others have what appears to be a paratergal sclerite in the male genitalia.
The genera will be commented on individually.
