Chorsia
griffini sp. n.
8mm. This species is slightly smaller than maculosa
but
has very similar forewing facies as illustrated. The features of the eighth
sternite are also comparable: massive coremata in the eighth sternite and a
central apodeme to the anterior margin of the seventh. However, the valves are
much narrower, of more even width, and with a more slender digitate process from
subbasally in the centre of the valve. The aedeagus is only half the diameter of
that of maculosa,
and the diverticula of the vesica are correspondingly narrower. See also the
next species.
