Diagnosis.
The species bears some resemblance to Stictopterinae of the genus Diascoides
Holloway,
but differs from these in having the medial area of the forewing darker rather
than paler than the rest, and in having paler fasciation over the tornal area of
the hindwing.
Geographical
range. Borneo, Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Thailand (VK).
Habitat
preference. This is a common lowland forest species but also occurs
infrequently in montane forests up to 1930m. Chey (1994) recorded it frequently
in lowland softwood plantations in Sabah.
