Diagnosis.
There is some sexual dimorphism, with males being a variegated dark brownish
green and females a dull pale green. The darker markings show up much more
closely on the latter: fine, very irregular fasciae; a large forewing reniform;
subapical and subtornal groups of sagittate marks on the forewing submarginal,
the subapical group with brown shading between it and the margin.
Geographical
range. Sumatra, Java, Peninsular Malaysia, Singapore, Borneo, N.E.
Himalaya, Vietnam (A. Zilli, pers. comm.), Philippines.
Habitat
preference. Only three Bornean specimens have been seen, from Kretam
on the coast of Sabah, from lowland forest at 30-60m
in the Labi area of Brunei and from the Pontianak area of Kalimantan.
