Leptocola
lunulata sp. n.
15mm, 17mm. This is a similar colour and general appearance to the type
species but has the forewing submarginal obscured and that of the hindwing
broken, the more anterior pale components forming lunules that enclose blackish
marks basad. The costal subapical mark of the forewing is conspicuous, rather
ovate, basally pale grey and grading more ochreous distad. There is a transverse
antemedial, slightly paler than the ground, with a black edging distad, and with
the area basal to it generally blacker. The reniform is obscure apart from its
basal edge which is narrowly lined with blue. There is an obscurely darker
postmedial that forms a weak zig-zag. The valves of the male genitalia differ as
noted for the previous species; the vesica has a distal, dense clump of fine,
curved spines.
