Marapana
flavicosta sp. n.
, 19-20mm. This is a larger species than pulverata,
with somewhat longer labial palps. The facies is a richer brown, and the
hindwing costa is broadly dull ochreous yellow. The male genitalia have somewhat
broader valves than in pulverata, though with a narrower costa and a more angled
inner margin to the sacculus, which does not terminate in a spur. The aedeagus
is longer. In the female, the ductus is longer and the bursa is more pyriform,
entire, rather than being divided into distinct basal tubular and distal
globular sections.
