Ectogonia
curvipalpata sp. n.
11mm. The labial palps of this species are long, but upcurved as
in Ilyrgis,
but the forewings are of a similar shape and facies to the type species and butleri;
the male genitalia are distinguished in the generic description above.

Holotype
. SABAH: Poring, 1800', E. of Mt. Kinabalu, 20-23.i.1976 (E.W. Classey), BM noctuid slide 19205
Geographical
range. Borneo, Sumatra (slide 18620).
Habitat
preference. The only Bornean specimen is from an area of disturbed forest
at around 550m at Poring to the south-east of G. Kinabalu.
