Diagnosis.
See the generic description. The species is variable in the extent to which the
dark forewing fasciae are lined or spotted with white, and these fasciae are
obscure in males, which tend to be larger, with the forewings more produced
apically (see also Robinson, 1975).
Geographical
range. Sundaland to Australia and Fiji.
Habitat
preference. The species is rare in Borneo. A single female has been
recorded at 1200m near Bundu Tuhan, an area of cultivation and forest remnants
on the slopes of G. Kinabalu.
