Diagnosis.
The facies is somewhat similar to that of some species of Immidae, hypenine
noctuid species such as Catada charalis Swinhoe (Australia) and genera such as Lasiolopha
Turner
and Chloriola
Hampson
in the Nolidae, but on the forewing, the double, oblique, dark antemedial
fasciae and the more irregular, white-edged, dark and similarly oblique
postmedial fascia are distinctive. The scales between the antemedial fasciae and
in a narrow band distal to the postmedial are slightly glossy.
Geographical
range. Sri Lanka,
India, Borneo, Philippines.
Habitat
preference. Older (including type) material is from lowland localities. The
only specimens recorded in recent surveys came to light on a boat amongst
mangrove in the Bay of Brunei.
