Hepatica
irrorata Wileman & South
Anepa
irrorata Wileman & South, 1917, Entomologist,
50: 53.
Hepatica
irrorata Wileman & South; Holloway, 1976: 35.
Diagnosis.
See the previous species.
Taxonomic
note. Poole (1989) gave bhagha
Swinhoe
(N.E. Himalaya, Taiwan) as a synonym of irrorata (and
also partially of Ananepa doda), but bhagha seems
to have a more uniform, richer brown tone to the forewing, and the dark
postmedial fades away less abruptly basad. The other forewing markings are more
obscure. Only females are known, and the genitalia are distinct from those of irrorata.
Geographical
range. N.E. Himalaya, Taiwan, Borneo.
Habitat
preference. The only Bornean specimen is from 1930m on G. Kinabalu.
