Diagnosis.
The marginally angled grey forewings with fine, angular, white fasciation and
other markings such as paler veins are distinctive apart from some similarity to
more robust Tiridata
Walker
species. The grey darkens distad with proximity to these fasciae. The males have
more rounded, less angular forewing margins than the females, and their antennae
are very long, extending almost to the forewing apex.
Geographical
range. Borneo, Sumatra (HS / K), Thailand.
Habitat
preference. This is an uncommon species of lowland forest, recorded from
near the Danum Valley Field Centre in Sabah, from forest on the lower slopes
(250m) of G. Api at 300m on G. Santubong in Sarawak, and from the Barito Ulu of
Kalimantan Tengah. The holotype is from Sandakan on the coast of Sabah.
