Diagnosis.
This is the largest of the three Bornean species, the wings a dark, rich, almost
uniform brown, with the forewing markings typical of the genus only faintly
evident. The anterior of the thorax, most of its underside and the head are
tinged strongly ochreous.
Geographical
range. Sundaland,
Thailand.
Habitat
preference. The only records are the three from G. Kinabalu (Holloway,
1976) at 1200m, 1930m and 2110m.
Biology.
Bänziger (1982) noted the adult as a fruit piercer in Thailand.
