Diagnosis.
The forewing is similar to that of maturata, though less violet in tint
and with more contrast in the pale to dark zone
extending basal to the medial. The subapical mark on the costa is deeper, more
trapezoidal, less lens-shaped. The marginal line is more punctate at the veins.
Geographical
range. Himalaya, Taiwan; Peninsular Malaysia,
Sumatra, Borneo (ssp. korintjiensis
Prout).
Habitat
preference. This is a montane species like maturata,
recorded from G. Kinabalu and G. Mulu at altitudes between 1000m and 1930m, with
one record from 2600m.
