Diagnosis.
The facies is somewhat similar to that of submicacea (see above) but the species is smaller,
and less strongly marked. a distinctive feature is the irregular strip of dark
brown just interior to the hindwing postmedial that extends from subdorsally to
two thirds, and then continues as a narrow and diffuse dark shade distad to the
acute angle at Rs on the margin. Only females have been seen. Geographical
range. Singapore,
Borneo, Sumatra (HS / K).
Habitat
preference. The only Bornean specimen seen in recent surveys is from
disturbed alluvial forest at Long Pala (70m) in the G. Mulu National Park. Two
older specimens are from 85 miles above (upstream from?) Pontianak in
Kalimantan.
