Diagnosis.
This is a small species with rather narrow, triangular forewings marked in
various shades of brown on a fawn ground. The fasciae are narrow, linear and
pale, of unshaded ground colour, the submarginal straight, the antemedial and
postmedial angled. The reniform is also paler, as is a broad streak that bisects
the apex. The brown areas are tinted variably pinkish or ochreous.
Geographical
range. Borneo,
Sri Lanka.
Habitat
preference. The holotype male was taken by A.R. Wallace in Sarawak. A
further male has been recorded in lowland forest at Ulu Dusun, 30 miles west of
Sandakan in Sabah.
