Diagnosis. This is an obscurely marked medium grey
species with, in the male, strongly produced apices to the forewings. Most
fasciae are blackish though barely evident, as is the forewing reniform dot.
The most conspicuous fascia is a lunulate white submarginal to the forewing
that is close to the margin at the tornus and then diverges away from it
anteriorly, becoming weaker.
Geographical range. Singapore, Borneo.
Habitat preference. Ten specimens have been taken
from lowland localities in recent surveys: one from forest on limestone at 270m
and two from alluvial forest near limestone at 70m during the Mulu survey; two
from lowland forest at 170m near the Danum Valley Field Centre in Sabah; two
from lowland forest at 60m at Labi and the Ulu Belait, and three from disturbed
coastal forest at Seria in Brunei. Chey (1994) found it frequent in lowland
softwood plantations.
