14mm. The male antennae are not noded, but the subcostal flap of the forewing is as in the other species. The colour is as in the uniform lowland specimens of montanus. The darker fasciation is very weak and much less dentate than in the previous three species. The forewing discal spot is conspicuous, black, with a white centre; that of the hindwing is similar but much fainter. Both discal spots occur faintly on the underside. The male genitalia have the valves much narrower than in the previous species, straight-sided and with a broader, more digitate saccular process that reaches the centre of the valve The aedeagus vesica is more convolute than in the other species, but only finely scobinate.

Holotype . SARAWAK: Gunong Mulu Nat. Park, R.G.S. Exped. 1977-8 (J.D. Holloway et al.), Site 14, February, Camp 2.5, Mulu, 1000m. 413461, lower montane forest, BM noctuid slide 19635.

Geographical range. Borneo.

Habitat preference. The only specimen is from lower montane forest.
