Diagnosis.
The species is somewhat similar to the next but is more greyish, with a conspicuous oblique white reniform in the forewing in the form of a flattened ‘8’. The fasciation is obscure, punctate to crenate, darker grey, though the forewing antemedial and postmedial become whitened at the costa, and the submarginal has more extensive, but fainter white edging distad.

Geographical range. Borneo.

Habitat preference. The original material is from G. Kinabalu without altitude data. All five specimens taken in the Mulu survey were from lowland forest at or below 250m, and there is an older specimen from Sandakan on the coast of Sabah.
