Polypogon kona
Figure 326

Diagnosis.
The size and facies are very similar to those of phineusalis except the postmedial and antemedial fasciae are more diffuse and the general colour is a greyer brown. The hindwings are similarly paler than the forewings on the underside, but the postmedial is less crenulate and passes closer to the discal mark. The male antennae are bipectinate rather than ciliate.

Taxonomic note. The male eighth abdominal segment is as in ochreipes. The uncus is relatively long. The valves are narrow, slightly broader centrally, upcurved over the distal half, without processes. The juxta is triangular. The aedeagus vesica is small, with some coarse scobination.

Geographical range. Peninsular Malaysia, Borneo.

Habitat preference. A single male was taken in dipterocarp forest at 150m at the foot of G. Mulu.
