Throanagonia tiara sp. n.

Throanagonia tiara
Figure 480

10mm and 11mm. The species is closer in size to the type species than to corona, but closer in facies to the latter, having a less emphatically darker zone of submarginal fasciation on the forewing. On the hindwing underside, the paler areas are a more speckled grey than in the female of corona. The diagnostic features are in the genitalia, where the lamella postvaginalis has a more extensive, rounded margin than in corona, with a few more than six irregular spines distally and one or two shorter spines on a lateral expansion of the margin on each side. There is a slight lobe subbasally on the ductus of the paratype (illustrated), but this is barely evident on the holotype.
