Dichromia translaticius
Diagnosis. The forewings are a relatively uniform olive brown irrorated with paler scales and covered by pale fasciae produced by greater concentration of such scales: a sinuous submarginal that is approximately parallel to the margin, gently convex towards it centrally but turning slightly concave at each extremity; a postmedial that is oblique, with a slight obtuse angle at one third from the costa; a diffuse fascia that echoes the postmedial just distal to it; a curved, crenate antemedial that is enhanced by a narrow zone without paler irroration immediately distal to it.
Taxonomic note. The male genitalia exhibit the features diagnostic for Dichromia.
Geographical range. Sumatra, Borneo.
Habitat preference. There is a series without altitude data taken by Waterstradt in the area of G. Kinabalu.
