Diagnosis. Only females are known. The species is larger than paritalis, having dark brown forewings with a slightly paler costa. There is a dark fascia in a similar position to that of paritalis; this is sharply whitened in one specimen. The hindwings are much paler brown, particularly over the basal half, and there is a fine, faintly darker, straight fascia just beyond the centre.
Geographical range. Borneo, Sumatra (Lödl, 1999e).
Habitat preference. Only the type series is known, three females from 2600m on G. Kinabalu.
