Diagnosis. The deep emerald green forewings with a black apical patch and
transverse darker/paler fasciae medially and subbasally, in conjunction with
dull orange hindwings, are diagnostic. See also Ariolica lineolata.
Geographical range. Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Borneo, Palawan, Thailand.
Habitat preference.
This is an uncommon species, recorded between 900m
and 1780m during the Mulu survey, but the only three specimens taken in Brunei
were in forest at 30-300m.
