Diagnosis. This is a small species with rich rufous fawn forewings
distinguished by a diffuse, oblique dark brown band extending to the apex from
the subbasal angle of the dorsum. There is a submarginal row of blackish dots
that become increasingly invested with silvery grey towards the apex.
Taxonomic note. Kobes (1997) indicated this species was distinct from
diagona
Hampson (N.E. Himalaya, Peninsular Malaysia).
Geographical range. Borneo, Sumatra.
Habitat preference. The species is uncommon but occurs in lowland
dipterocarp forest and montane forest to as high as 1620m.
