Didigua
subterminalis
Prout comb. n.
Blenina subterminalis Prout, 1928, Sarawak Mus. J., 3: 464.
Carea ochreipennis
Holloway, 1976: 24, syn. n.
Diagnosis. This is one of the larger species in the genus, the typical
pattern strongly variegated in black and bone-white, occasionally with an
ochreous or brown suffusion that is often more manifest in the marginal cilia of
the wings.
Taxonomic note. The taxon subterminalis was obviously misplaced in
Blenina
Walker and proved on dissection to be conspecific with
ochreipennis.
Geographical range. Borneo.
Habitat preference. This is a montane species, recorded from 1200m to 1930m,
most frequent at around 1600-1700m. One specimen has been taken in lowland
forest at 30-60m at Labi in Brunei.
