Diagnosis. The forewing shape is similar to that of D.
quadratipennis
Walker, but it is variably traversed by dull purplish red fasciae and
suffusion, sometimes just leaving a medial band of grey as in vexilla,
from which it can be distinguished by the more triangular wing shape.
Geographical range. Borneo.
Habitat preference. The holotype is from Bidi in the lowlands of Sarawak.
There are six specimens from the Marei Parei ridge at about 1500m on G. Kinabalu
and one was taken in lower montane forest at 900m on the limestone G. Api during
the Mulu survey. Four were taken in lowland dipterocarp forest of Barito Ulu in
Kalimantan.
