Didigua
martini
Kobes comb. n.
Lasionotella martini Kobes, 1997: 158.
Lasionotella exesa Warren sensu Holloway, 1976: 27.
Diagnosis. This is a very similar species to effusa, but males have a
darker hindwing that is excavate only at the tornus. The production anterior to
this has beige scales on its ventral surface.
Taxonomic note. An externally similar species in Sulawesi (slide 16785) has
fewer spines in the groups distally (though these are longer) and basally in the
vesica, and the central one is smaller. It is probably a distinct species.
Geographical range. Sumatra, Borneo.
Habitat preference. Bornean material is limited to two males, one from swamp
forest at 15m at Daerah Belait in Brunei and one from 1200m on a partially
cultivated slope at 1200m in the Bundu Tuhan area of G. Kinabalu.
