Diagnosis. The forewings are a darker, redder brown than in aureovitta,
the basal streak much reduced, lens-shaped, and more towards the dorsum. The
rest of the wing is rather marbled, the reniform conspicuous: a large circle
with a paler centre.
Geographical range. Burma, Peninsular Malaysia, Borneo, Luzon.
Habitat preference. Records are mainly from lowland forest up to 1200m. The
species is uncommon.
