Phaeothripa morena Swinhoe
Sarothripa morena Swinhoe, 1901, Ann. Mag. nat. Hist. (7), 7: 490.
Diagnosis. The forewings are a dark purple-grey, narrow and rather
elliptical. There is a punctate postmedial, strongly angled as in L. scotia,
and paler grey shading following a similar course that is only conspicuous at
the centre of the dorsum.
Geographical range. Borneo, Peninsular Malaysia, Java.
Habitat preference. This is a rare lowland species, but one specimen was
taken at 900m on the limestone G. Api during the Mulu survey.
