Manoba
implens Walker,
1863, J. Linn. Soc. (Zool.), 7: 62.
Stictane junctilinea Hampson, 1901, Ann. Mag. nat. Hist. (7), 8: 183.
Diagnosis.
See Ctenane labuana. The species
has a more regular, less flecked forewing pattern than all congeners except
tesselata Hampson in Borneo. In tesselata the dark areas on the
forewing are more extensive, particularly in a triangle from the centre of the
distal margin to the postmedial; the submarginal dots are usually stronger in
implens.
Geographical range. Borneo, Peninsular Malaysia, Philippines.
Habitat preference. The species is uncommon, but has been taken in
lowland and lower montane forest up to 1000m.
