Diagnosis. This is a
slightly larger and generally darker, greyer species than argentaloides,
and has a faint postmedial band to the hindwing. The forewing is more heavily
variegated throughout. The harpe in the male genitalia is smaller than in
argentaloides, more so than are the genitalia overall.
The aedeagus is much narrower, the vesica lacking the large cluster of cornuti
seen in argentaloides.
Geographical range. Borneo.
Habitat
preference. The only specimens are from
between 3000m and 3750m on G. Kinabalu.
