Incertae
sedis
Walker described two further nolines from Borneo, Necla? concinnula and
Pisara?
ineffectalis,
but the types have been lost and the descriptions are insufficient to permit
identification (Hampson, 1900: 79). Records of
Nola
distributa
Walker (e.g. Hampson, 1900; Piepers & Snellen, 1904; Poole, 1989) are confusing
as the taxon distributa is a
Lyclene
(Holloway, 2001), and the source of the Bornean record is the distribution given
by Hampson (1900). The records may apply to
Manoba
major
Hampson, placed as a synonym of distributa by Hampson (1900). The host records of Terminalia (Combretaceae) and
Lagerstroemia (Lythraceae) in Java (Piepers & Snellen, 1904) may also apply
to major.
