Aquita
Walker
Type species:
horridella
Walker (= tactalis
Walker), Australia.
Synonym:
Zia
Walker (type species
tactalis).
This genus should probably only include the type species, which has rather
elongate, longitudinally streaky black, grey and white forewings, male genitalia
with a sequence of processes running ventrally from the valve costa, and female
genitalia with a long, slender bursa that lacks signa. Two Bornean species were
originally assigned to the genus. One is transferred to Barasa Walker. The other is described below with a related new species, but both are
definitely misplaced in Aquita.
