male.gif (860 bytes)32mm. The species is smaller and redder than perspicuifascia, with the fasciation much less pronounced. On the underside the weak postmedials are straight on both wings; in perspicuifascia they are strong and markedly curved with the concave side distad. In the male genitalia the aedeagus vesica is smaller but more strongly scobinate, the uncus is more elongate with greater curvature to the lateral processes, and the valve has a triangular process on the costa.

Geographical range.
Borneo. Peninsular Malaysia (in coll. Univ. Kebangsaan).

Habitat preference. The holotype was from dipterocarp forest at low elevation on the limestone of G. Api.
