Diagnosis. The colour and fasciation are as described in the generic
account and as illustrated, a darker and less red brown than in modulata,
the forewing apices more produced. In the male genitalia the spur of the
aedeagus is much shorter, the dorsal processes of the valves much more
slender, even rather than slightly tapering, and with a greater, more even
curvature over the basal half (the degree of curvature decreases evenly
over the length in modulata); the cubile is triangular rather than
parallel-sided.
Geographical
range. Sumatra, Borneo, Peninsular Malaysia.
Habitat preference. The two Bornean specimens were taken in lowland
rainforest.
