Diagnosis. The forewing has a central pale bar without the dark triangles
of M. mitchelli and more uniform dark grey areas distally and basally than
M. heliophila. The forewing apex is more produced than in the latter
species.
Geographical range. Japan, Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Borneo, ?Sulawesi
(D'Abrera, 1986).
Habitat preference. The single Bornean specimen was taken at Seria on the
Brunei coast (Harman, 1981).
