Diagnosis. Distinctive features are the rather deep triangular forewings, the
dorsum having a central process with an excavation distad as in the more
elongate-winged Allata and Ginshachia species, the straight
submarginal parallel to the margin, and the large reniform. The species is
variable as illustrated, the uniformly beige form being predominant.
Geographical range. Borneo, Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra.
Habitat preference. The species is frequent in lowland mixed dipterocarp
forest up to the lower montane zone. It is rare on limestone and has not been
recorded from kerangas (heath) forests.
