Pantanopsis
Kiriakoff
Pantanopsis
diehli Kiriakoff
Pantanopsis diehli Kiriakoff,
1974: 388.
Diagnosis. A small species with distinctive reddish brown patches on pale brown
forewings.
Taxonomic note. The Sulawesi species celebensis Gaede is obviously congeneric
with P. diehli, having similar facies and male genitalia. It is therefore
transferred to Pantanopsis from Liparopsis, comb. n.
Geographical range. Sumatra, Borneo.
Habitat preference. The species has been recorded infrequently in various
types of lowland forest. In the G. Mulu National Park it was recorded mostly
from low altitude limestone forest on G. Api.
