Diagnosis. See Tarsolepis sommeri Hübner.
Taxonomic note. Nakamura (1976) placed this species in a subgenus, Tarsolepisoides Nakamura,
on the grounds of minor characters of antennae, palps and male genitalia as
mentioned in the diagnosis of the previous species.
Geographical range. India, Burma; Peninsular Malaysia, Borneo.
Habitat preference. Lowland rain forest; only three Bornean specimens
noted.
