Diagnosis. Males are similar to those of marginata in appearance, though
larger, paler yellow in ground colour and with a more evenly curved costa to the
forewing. The discal spot is larger. The male genitalia have a rather spear-
shaped uncus, and the valve costa in the transtillar region has a dorsally
directed spine.
Geographical range. Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Borneo.
Habitat preference. The only Bornean specimen seen is from Kuching in the
lowlands of Sarawak.
